Fall Adult Sail School Schedule

Announcing BCYC's Fall 2023 Adult Sail School

September 27th - October 18th

Three classroom sessions on Wednesday nights:
- September 27th, October 4th and 11th
- 7:00pm - 9:00pm
  (September 27th only will start at 6:30 to get administrative things out of the way)
Four On-the-Water sessions:
- Two Saturdays: September 30th and October 7th
- - Mornings from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
  - Afternoons from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
- Two Sundays: October 1st and 8th
- - Mornings from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
  - Afternoons from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
  NOTE: We have one space open! Morning on-the-water sailing only.
- Or email sailschoolregistration@sailbcyc.org to be added to the Notification List for Spring 2024.
- Reserved for make-ups due to weather: Saturday, October 14th
A traditional, yet optional, sunset “sail out” hosted by BCYC members aboard their own sailing vessels on Wednesday, October 18th @ 5:30 pm

The objectives of BCYC's Basic Sail School are to produce graduates who can rig the sails of a small boat; assess the wind; sail away from the dock; perform the basic maneuvers of tacking, jibing, and trimming sails; and sail safely back to the dock. We also provide information about federal and state safety requirements, emergency procedures, and “local knowledge” of nearby waters.

Class is limited to 20 Adults and will fill up quickly, so register early!

Your registration application and $400 per person fee may be paid online.

Current General Members of BCYC can attend for the members-only price of $300. Just log in first to access the members-only price.
