Club Cruises
Monthly cruises in company with other boats to beautiful, interesting, and fun destinations along the Suncoast and Tampa Bay are the most highly anticipated events. ![]() Club Racing
For the more energetic sailors, there are weekly Tuesday evening small-boat races and monthly weekend PHRF regattas for the larger boats on Boca Ciega Bay. BCYC is also the home club of two PHRF Boat of the Year racers as well as an Isla Mujeres, Mexico, Race winner. Dinners and Parties
BCYC Members enjoy social activities throughout the year. Every month BCYC hosts a free "covered-dish" dinner with members contributing salads, side dishes, and desserts. There are also numerous special-occasion dinners such as Thanksgiving that always attracts a crowd. It's a great way to get to know each other and merge with the BCYC family of sailors.
| Sail School
BCYC is known statewide for its Sailing School and its high standards of seamanship, safety, equipment and teaching. Multiple sessions are held each year with 12 students in each session. The training boats are self righting and lively Capri 16.5s. Club BoatsBCYC maintains a fleet of boats for the free use of members between sunrise and sunset, weather permitting, that include Catalina Capri 16.5s. Optimist Prams and Sunfish Members who don't own boats are never lacking opportunities to sail.BCYC Clubhouse and GroundsThe BCYC clubhouse is accessible to members 24 hours per day and includes showers, use of the large kitchen, outdoor grills, cable TV, refrigerator food storage, club computer, workshop, and several outdoor patios. Unlimited ice is free to all members.Dockage & Trailer Slips
Via the Gulfport Municipal Marina, there are over 50 wet slips are available for boats up to 35 feet and/or a five-foot draft. Protected from heavy weather by substantial jetties, newer docks and pilings provide maximum safety with easy access to Boca Ciega Bay and the Gulf. 24-hour video surveillance and electronic locking gate ensure security.
Ample space is available for trailer-able boats with ramp launching only yards away without the need to lower the mast.
Dry Storage for Paddle SportsBCYC provides canoes, kayaks, windsurfers, and paddle-boards for members to use. Storage for personal equipment is also available. ![]() |
