BCYC Sail School training boats are Catalina 16.5 sailboats modified for training in our environment. The 16.5 Catalina sailboats have a big roomy cockpit, large storage locker forward, a cast lead fixed keel attached with stainless steel keel bolts, molded-in sealed bilge rudder, adjustable hiking straps, tiller extension, adjustable outhaul, and a roller furled head sail. The boats are self-righting, self-bailing and are ideal for novice sailors.
