Home Edition of the Canoe/ Kayak Club!

The club within a club, the on again,
off again Kayak Club is back again!     

Greetings friends;

The occasional Canoe/Kayak Club within our yacht club has a special home edition coming up on Saturday, March 29th.  We would like to feature Clam Bayou as a primary paddle outing adjacent to our club and our collection of kayaks. 

Think of some future visit from friend or relative when you would like to find a short adventure for part of a day. You could drive to the club, launch a kayak or two, and then explore Clam Bayou for an hour or two. No hassle putting kayaks on cars then driving miles to another site. We have a great paddleout site right here at home!

We will combine our trip into the Bayou with a tutorial on kayaks.The instructional orientation begins at 0900h. If you want to bring your own kayak and just do the tour d'bayou we will start at 1000h. We will spend about 2 hours exploring, then go to lunch in Gulfport (optional).

Happy optional research suggestion: bring up Google maps on your computer.  Find our BCYC building.  Press the "satellite view" button. Explore Clam Bayou from 500 ft up. Enjoy!

But wait, there's more!

Canoe challenge: we are not using our two canoes. Let's change that. The first two people to sign out one of our canoes and join us on one of our excursions get a free lunch.
