The club within a club, the on again, off again
Kayak Club is back!
We have planned an event that celebrates the fact that our Tampa Bay area has one of the finest canoe/kayak trails in the south. Yes, we started our club two years ago with a visit to the Weedon Island canoe trail.
We want to do it again this year.
Our plan is to meet at the launch area of the the Weedon Island trail at 0900h on Tuesday the 21st of January with a probable departure time of 0930h.
After completing the trail and rearranging kayaks on cars we have the option of meeting at the Metro Diner, at 5240 4th st north for a slightly late lunch.
Those of you who will be borrowing club kayaks should probably do so the day before, leaving the kayak (s) on your car overnight.
