The hoist dock is almost fully repaired but it won't be ready until next week. A huge THANK YOU to Richard Walters, Pat Nolan, John Weber, Ellen White, Chuck Kichler, and everyone else who has been helping to get this ready for racing and sail school!
Table Captain & Volunteer Training
This is intended to be an overview of the skills and knowledge required to be a volunteer for Sail School, including Table Captains. Anyone interested in learning more is encouraged to attend on Saturday, September 28th at 10:00 am. It would be great if ALL volunteers could attend (old, new, boat captains, etc.) so that we can align on the details!
Boat Captain, Hoist Training & Practice
This is meant to be an overview of the skills and knowledge required to be a Boat Captain for Sail School. This will also cover best practices, check-out requirements, and other tips and tricks. This is meant for all past, current, and future Boat Captains and for those curious in becoming a Boat Captain.
This will be also cover Hoist Training followed by on-the-water practice in the Capris. The goal is to train-up more Boat Captains so if you've been one in the past, please come assist with the knowledge sharing!
Knowledge of hoist safety and launching/retrieving procedures is required for anyone wishing to sail a Capri or assist with Sail School. Training on the proper use of the hoist will be conducted on Saturday, September 28th at 11:00 pm. It is strongly encouraged for all Boat Captains and Sail School volunteers (especially launchers and retrievers) to attend.
Safety Boat Captain & Crew Training
This is meant to be an overview of the skills and knowledge required to be a Safety Boat Captain or Crew for Sail School (also for Racing!). Training on the proper process for launching the Safety Boat, practice driving it around, docking, will be conducted on Saturday, September 28th at 12:00 pm.
It is strongly encouraged for all past, current, and future Safety Boat Captains and Crew to attend to help with the knowledge sharing.
This training it open to ALL members, especially for those who want to volunteer with Sail School!
