Hooray! The Club Kayak Club is back!
We are scheduling a Saturday paddleout so our working Club members can join us. The date is Saturday 4 May. The plan is to familiarize ourselves with local waters. We will circle Coquina Key right here in South St Petersburg. If the wind is too high, we will simply explore the western edge of the island by remaining in protected Big Bayou and Little Bayou.
The launch area is at Grandview Park, at the corner of 6th Street South and 39th AVENUE South (please pay attention to the street name!). There are two launch ramps there and plenty of parking. After the trip, please join us at Chattaway's restaurant at 22nd Ave South and 4th South.
If you are a club kayak borrower, we see nothing wrong in going the day before to get a club kayak and keeping it on your car overnight.
So bring your kayak or borrow one from the club (please sign it out!).
