Spring Adult Sail School Schedule 

Our Spring Session is Full but you can join the Wait List at left. If you do sign up for the wait list, you will NOT be invoiced at this time. DO NOT attempt to pay now. However, if a space opens up, you will receive an email and an invoice.

If you would like to be notified about our Fall class, contact he Registration Coordinator and we will add you to our Fall notification list. Thank you.

• Three classroom sessions on Wednesday nights:
  
• • March 9th, 16th, 23rd
• • 7:00pm - 9:00pm
    (March 9th only will start at 6:30 to get administrative things out of the way)

• Each student chooses either afternoon or morning (no mix and match) sessions:
• • Two Saturdays: March 12th & 19th
    
  • • Mornings from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
    • Afternoons from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
      
  • Two Sundays: March 13th & 20th
    
  • • Mornings from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
    • Afternoons from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
    Reserved for make-ups due to weather: Saturday, March 26th

• A traditional, yet optional, sunset “sail out” hosted by BCYC members aboard their own sailing vessels on Wednesday, March 30th

The objectives of BCYC's Basic Sail School are to produce graduates who can rig the sails of a small boat; assess the wind; sail away from the dock; perform the basic maneuvers of tacking, jibing, and trimming sails; and sail safely back to the dock. We also provide information about federal and state safety requirements, emergency procedures, and “local knowledge” of nearby waters.
