A change in float plan has been highly recommended by Mick, the dock master at Tarpon Springs City Marina. Micks’ cell phone: 727-946-5658
They highly recommend that we arrive on Wednesday 11/23 because they will have dock hands and can check us in, give us keys to facilities, etc. Thanksgiving day and Friday the 25th will have no staff at the marina.
They only have 6 transient slips, and I’ve reserved them all. BUT, you must go to their website and register your boat. Mick respectfully requests, “Please do it now.”

I would recommend reserving your slip now, then if you need to cancel later, you can do so.
This moves the float plan up 1 day. So, the new plan is leave BCYC on Tuesday, 11/22. Anchor in Clearwater Harbor that evening, and arrive at the Tarpon Springs City Marina on Wednesday, 11/23.
This gives us more time on the return. We can decide to anchor out for 1 or 2 nights on the way back. We could anchor near Three Rooker or Anclote, have a bon-fire on the beach, grill out or have sandy sandwiches, etc. Then Clearwater Harbor, then home. But as always, it will depend on weather, how we feel, is the holding tank full…
I’m shy of Caladesi because the entrances are very shallow.
Cathy is coordinating with restaurants for Thanksgiving dinner for us in T-Springs. We will make a reservation for 12 and adjust as necessary for Turkey day.
Often, we go south for the Thanksgiving Cruise. However, we chose north due to devastation from Ian.
