Boy Scouts of America Sea Scout program, Ship 915, is organized to promote better citizenship and to improve members’ (13 to 21 years) boating skills and knowledge through instruction and practice in water safety, boating skills, outdoor, social and service experiences and knowledge of our maritime heritage.

With BCYC adult oversight these young men and women plan the direction of their program, govern their members, and learn to help others through safe sailing. Most importantly, Sea Scouts graduate with the leadership skills that are best developed by commanding a sailing yacht with a crew of five or six other Scouts. Adult Volunteers are always appreciated.

Currently, Ship 915 has 21 Youth Members of varying ranks:

  • No Rank - 12
  • Apprentice - 4
  • Ordinary - 2
  • Able - 3

Have you stood on the beach and wondered what it's like on a passing sailboat out on the water?

  • Learn to sail with high school friends
  • Experience the thrill of Yacht Racing
  • Go on weekend and long distance cruises
  • Learn how to repair boats
  • Earn your Florida power-boating license
If you are interested in this, call the S.S. Ship 915 Skipper to make plans for a Wednesday night visit and to pick up your membership packet for your personal passport to adventure.

Skipper - Joel Heyne (727) 345-5760
