Blessing of the Fleet

An invocation of good boating fortune

The Blessing of the Fleet is an annual event held in the spring which is open to the public. Skippers sail their boats past the Gulfport Pier for an invocation of good boating fortune performed by the Club Chaplain. All are invited to gather on the pier to stand with BCYC's Chaplain who blesses each vessel as it passes the Pier. After the blessing on Boca Ciega Bay, boat crews take photos of passing boats and later that night share their photo with other participants.
