We’re going to DeSoto Point, one of our favorite anchorages, but weather will tell where we anchor or go ashore. Either way, bring a dish to share on the boats and a dinghy to go ashore If you have one.
Here are our onshore and anchoring choices. We can vote on where to go at the captains meeting:
On Shore: 1. DeSoto National Memorial (south shore) http://www.nps.gov/deso/index.htm 2. Emerson Point Preserve (north shore) https://www.mymanatee.org/home/government/departments/parks-and-recreation/natural-resources/preserves/emerson-point.html
Anchorages: 1. DeSoto Point Anchorage (south shore) http://cruisersnet.net/88-desoto-point-anchorage-2/ 2. Snead Island Anchorage (north shore) http://cruisersnet.net/89-snead-island-anchorage-2/
Please let Don Rogers know if you have space for stowaways - email cruising@sailbcyc.org or call (727) 688-3946 or (727) 345-7544
